In The Clear

Director. Producer. Editor.

I was hired to conceptualize and direct a music video for Toronto garage psych-rock band Wine Lips’ song “In The Clear”.

To match the song’s controlled chaos, playful tone, and garage-punk sound, I decided to pitch this idea of a “budget Joker” character setting out on a murderous rampage and getting away with it. A ridiculous motive was also included…and I got to eat jelly donuts. Spanky the Clown is in the clear.
