Fingers
Director. Producer.
I was hired to conceptualize and direct a music video for Toronto garage psych-rock band Wine Lips’ song “Fingers”.
With the song’s mysterious, tension-building verses that explode into anthemic rock choruses, I wanted to create a twisted sense of psychological push-pull to complement it. The verse sections are inspired by an old U2 music video for their song “Numb”, where the vocalist sings into frame while people and things get in their way. The choruses demanded wrestling. The conflict between the protagonist and the masked figure is a fun throughline to tie it all together.
